People who work in public sector communications in Texas are invited to be a part of the 2022 Government Social Media Conference Local Host Committee! GSMCON, happening March 29-31, 2022, is the largest social media conference in the U.S. for government agencies, where we’re looking forward to connecting people who work in government social media both in Dallas, Texas at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel as well as those joining the virtual livestream at our first-ever hybrid event.
Serving on our GSMCON2022 Local Host Committee means you want to get involved in a bigger way with your government social media community and want to help get key agencies involved while making the event a total success for both the region and our nation. Are you who we’re looking for?
- You work in government social media or government communications
- You work in the greater Dallas, TX area or within the state
- You want to make a significant impact on the success of the event (and receive complimentary admission to GSMCON2022!)
Local Host Committee members participate in monthly Zoom planning meetings leading up to the event and previous Local Host Committee members assisted with various on-site duties at GSMCON2022 including the restaurant romp, set-up/tear-down, serving as onstage emcees, network ambassadors and more. We recognize that some people are comfortable speaking onstage while others enjoy working behind-the-scenes magic, so we’ll work with members to find suitable opportunities that work for everyone!
We encourage you to apply before applications close at 11:59 p.m. PT on Friday, September 3, 2021. All individuals picked receive complimentary admission to GSMCON2022, up to three nights at Sheraton Dallas Hotel if needed and recognition on our website and in our event materials!
