What will hybrid GSMCON2022 look like?

Jul 29, 2021

Team GSM is planning a special hybrid event both in-person in Dallas, Texas and online for our 7th annual Government Social Media Conference (GSMCON), making the conference even more accessible to the whole community. No matter what ticket type you pick, you’ll walk away — or log off — from a fulfilling experience making you an even more confident, efficient government social media professional.

GSMCON, happening March 29-31, 2022, is the largest social media conference in the U.S. for government agencies, where we’re looking forward to bringing together people who work in government social media both in Dallas, Texas at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel as well as those joining the virtual livestream. Early-bird registration is now open for all ticket types! Save the most by reserving your spot now or download our one-page event summary to help with your training/travel approvals.

GSMCON2022 schedule

Whether you’re an in-person attendee or virtual participant, you’ll have 2.5 days filled with useful sessions and networking opportunities with fellow communicators, speakers and representatives from social networks.

Welcome Reception & pre-conference, add-on workshops: Monday, March 28, 2022

GSMCON2022 conference dates: Tuesday, March 29 - Thursday, March 31, 2022 (half-day)

Within the next few weeks, we’ll publish the high-level times we expect each conference day to start/end on our GSMCON website, but for now, the schedule for last year’s virtual event is available as an example for your training or travel approvals. A full schedule will be released following our Call for Speakers and registered attendee session popularity surveys before the end of the year.

Attend in-person

We can’t say enough about our in-person attendee experience! You get major perks like meeting people face-to-face, learning more about government-related products in the expo area and connecting with speakers and other attendees.

Plus, you get to explore Dallas! We look forward to bringing GSMCON back to Dallas in 2022 where long-time GSMCON fans may recall that downtown Dallas hosted our 2017 conference – the first time we moved the conference outside of Reno.

With both in-person General Admission and All Access ticket types, you’ll get access to all keynote and breakout sessions, enjoy 3 continental breakfasts and 2 lunches, and on-demand access to most session recordings 10 days after the event for 90 days. Upgrade to an All Access Ticket to get access to special sessions (Live Reviews, WWYD Scenarios & PowerTalks), online access to connect with all the virtual participants and a badge upgrade to be involved in special networking opportunities and activities throughout the event.

Our room block at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel opens soon! For the lowest rate, please wait to book your room under our room block when it opens – bookmark our venue page for the latest room block updates.

Be a virtual participant

If your agency won’t allow travel yet or participating online is better for you, you have options for a virtual experience, too!

Online participants will be able to watch most sessions in real-time, meaning you’ll be right there with speakers and other attendees as sessions are happening. You’ll connect with other virtual and All Access in-person attendees in our online event website, participate in live speaker Q&As and more. All virtual participants will also get access to session recordings online starting 10 days after the event for 90 days.

Upgrade your experience with an All Access Virtual Ticket to be a part of special sessions (Live Reviews, WWYD Scenarios & PowerTalks) and a special profile badge to enhance your networking experience online.

No matter what ticket type you choose, we can’t wait for you to be a part of the event! Early-bird registration ends on November 15, 2021. Become a more efficient, confident government social media professional (and save the most!) by registering today
