Thank you to our outgoing GSMA council
Sep 26, 2025The Government Social Media Association is led by elected volunteer advisors representing six regions across the United States. Each year, we recognize the members whose terms come to an end, celebrating the dedication and impact they’ve had on our association and community. Election results were recently announced for the Southeast, Southwest, and West regions.

It’s bittersweet to say farewell to three incredible Council members whose leadership has shaped the work of the Government Social Media Association: Zack Seipert, Frances La Rue, and Mikayla Moskov. Each of them brought their own spark, talents, and heart to their roles, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to benefit our members for years to come.
Zack Seipert has been more than just a Council member – he’s been our fearless president, steady leader, and all-around champion of the socialgov community. Beyond guiding the Council, Zack rolled up his sleeves as our AI enthusiast and spoke at GSMCON as a workshop leader and breakout speaker, generously sharing his expertise and encouraging others to step into leadership. His positivity, humor, and guidance co-chairing the Training Committee and assistance on the Awards Committee inspired both his fellow Council members and our broader community. We are deeply grateful for Zack’s leadership, which set a high bar for what it means to serve with passion and authenticity.
As co-chair of the Awards Committee, Frances La Rue was one of the driving forces behind the most recent Golden Post Awards, ensuring the program honored the very best of government social media with integrity and care. From refining processes to managing countless details behind the scenes, she poured her energy into celebrating the work of her peers. Frances brought that same spirit to the stage as co-host of the ceremony, adding warmth and fun that made the experience memorable for everyone. Frances contributed her thoughtful perspective and steady leadership across Council initiatives, leaving a positive mark on the association
Mikayla Moskov brought a thoughtful and insightful voice to the Council and our events. She shared practical perspectives as a GSMCON speaker, giving attendees advice they could put into action in their own agencies. As co-chair of the Training Committee, Mikayla played a key role in guiding and organizing our GSM 101 workshop, helping ensure new professionals have a solid foundation to build on. Mikayla’s contributions to the Council reflect her commitment to supporting and uplifting her peers across the country.
We can’t thank Zack, Frances, and Mikayla enough for the time, expertise, and energy they’ve given during their terms. They each leave behind a legacy of service, innovation, and community-building that will inspire both incoming Council members and the broader government social media profession.
On behalf of Team GSM and our entire association, we thank you.
The GSMA Council helps members by supporting the strategic direction of the association, maintaining open communication with members in their regions, and serving as committee co-chairs to foster collaboration among socialgov professionals.
A special thanks to outgoing council members Frances La Rue, Mikayla Moskov and Zack Seipert for their time, expertise, and dedication. They have left a lasting impact on the community, and we are grateful for their contributions and service.
