West region runoff election results are in - congrats!

After an initial tie in the West region, we held an exciting runoff election where members in California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah voted in another close election. We now welcome the new West region representative, Heidi Yocum, to the Council!
Your GSMA Council:
- Northwest region: Laurel McJannet, Community Transit
- Midwest region: Angela Ramirez, City of Lakewood, CO
- Northeast region: Kaitlin Keeler, Oakland County, Michigan Government
- Southeast region: Anthea Thomas, City of Fort Lauderdale, FL
- Southwest region: Holley Mangham, Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency
- West region: Heidi Yocum, City of Berkeley, CA
Following a self-nomination period, member voting, a tight race, and a runoff election in the West, Anthea, Holley, and Heidi join returning council members Laurel McJannet (Northwest Region), Angela Ramirez (Midwest Region), and Kaitlin Keeler (Northeast Region) as the advisory body of elected representatives for 2025-2026. The GSMA Council helps members by supporting the strategic direction of the association, maintaining open communication with members in their regions, and serving as committee co-chairs to foster collaboration among socialgov professionals.
A special thanks to outgoing council members Frances La Rue, Mikayla Moskov and Zack Seipert for their time, expertise, and dedication. They have left a lasting impact on the community, and we are grateful for their contributions and service.
