The Call for Speakers for the 2024 Government Social Media Conference is officially open!
Learn more and submit your proposal by 11:59 p.m. PT Wednesday, October 25, 2023, to share your expertise at the largest social media conference for government agencies. Hybrid GSMCON2024 will be held in-person in Palm Springs, California, April 16-18, 2024, with both in-person and virtual tickets available.

How to apply to be a presenter
As we gear up for GSMCON2024 in Palm Springs, CA we're running our "Call for Speakers" to recruit exceptional speakers from around the world for our program. All selected speakers receive recognition and complimentary admission to the event! Here’s how you apply:
- Review our tips for a great entry, sample conference topics, proposal questions and speaker FAQs.
- Brainstorm how you can best teach your topic to your peers and craft your proposal!
- Officially submit your proposal through our application site by 11:59 p.m. PT, Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
Our speaker selection committee will then carefully review all entries — selected entries will be notified via email by Team GSM in mid-November 2023. Speakers will be publicly announced before the close of Early-Bird registration! Subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when speakers are announced.
Prior to the conference, selected speakers will be in close contact with Team GSM to help answer any questions, get detailed speaker resources and provide you with other resources to help make both your speaker experience and session excellent. We can’t wait to work with you!

The 2024 Government Social Media Conference is heading to Palm Springs, California for our 9th annual event! This is a special hybrid event — happening April 16-18, 2024 — where public sector communicators can get together in person at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa or virtually from wherever you are.

What: GSMCON2024, the largest social media conference for government agencies
When: Tuesday, April 16 through Thursday, April 18, 2024 (last day is half-day). Pre-conference workshops and our Welcome Reception happen Monday, April 15!
Host venue: Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, 71333 Dinah Shore Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Reservations now available under our discounted room block of $229/night (+$10/night resort fee discounted from $37/night + 13.25% taxes and government fees).
