GSMCON2022: Why you should be a conference speaker

Oct 19, 2021

Speakers from all over the world have presented at the Government Social Media Conference — are you ready to be one of them?

We’re searching for exceptional speakers to teach government social media professionals during the GSMCON2022 program happening in Dallas, Texas March 29-31, 2022. Whether you have valuable advice, techniques or actionable lessons learned for government agencies on social media, we encourage you to submit your proposal by 11:59 p.m. CT Friday, October 29, 2021, to share your expertise at the largest social media conference in the United States for government agencies.

Here’s why you should submit your proposal to be a part:

You’re someone who...

Speakers are industry leaders, experts and people who take pride in sharing in-depth advice and top-notch tips to govies who handle social media. They’re people who are extremely passionate about this field, want to share their advice widely with the socialgov community, and seek to elevate this profession. Ultimately, they’re someone who cares deeply about government social media and the hardworking professionals in it.

Does this sound like you?

We encourage you to get your proposal together to best help your peers succeed! What can GSMCON attendees do differently or better? What’s the big takeaway? How can you help your peers solve a challenge they face? Visit our speakers page to learn more about sample conference topics and pro tips to make your proposal stand out.

Be a part of the GSMCON camaraderie

GSMCON is known not only for its high-caliber sessions and expertise of its speakers, but also for its one-of-a-kind camaraderie that lasts long after the event ends.

Speakers help create these crucial connections — both in your session and out. During your session, you’ll present your content, including a Q&A portion, to your peers both in-person and to those watching live online. You’ll also have opportunities to genuinely connect with peers from across the U.S. at the Welcome Reception, during sessions, keynotes, at the expo area and even during after hours.

For the first time, we’re planning a special hybrid event both in-person in Dallas, Texas and online, making the conference even more accessible to the whole community. We’re expecting hundreds of attendees, both in person and online, meaning hundreds of potential connections to your socialgov support system.

Speaker perks

While we know you’re planning your proposal to impart your knowledge on your peers, as an approved speaker, you also get these additional perks:

  • Complimentary in-person registration at the All Access ticket level
  • Recognition on our website
  • Acknowledgement in event promotion materials

If you already have a paid early-bird registration and are approved to host a breakout session, your registration fee will be refunded. Speakers will be announced before early-bird registration closes.

We can’t wait to see your proposal and meet you at GSMCON2022!
