Schedule snapshot

Throughout the 2.5 day program, both in person and virtual attendees can expect top-notch learning, genuine networking and much more.

Attendees will hear from over 40 speakers — including reps from LinkedIn, NATO, federal, state and local governmentleading sessions that matter most to government social media professionals. Topics include accessibility, making field crews part of your comms team, managing social for large agencies, platform updates, engaging diverse communities, authentic video and much more.

Each day, all attendees will meet for General Session keynotes and panel discussions. There are no concurrent sessions during General Session programming, so all attendees will meet in the Summit Pavilion, either in person or virtually. More main stage speakers will be announced soon!

With up to three concurrent breakout sessions, make sure to choose the session you most want to attend. A couple of weeks after the conference ends, we’ll send you access to most session recordings to view on-demand for 90 days. In-person attendees can expect a spacious conference set up and classroom style seating with a table in front of you — make sure to bring your coffee and notetaking materials!

In the official schedule, you’ll soon find built-in networking breaks and other networking opportunities. Why? Because there’s no better time to build your socialgov support system than during GSMCON!

Whether you're in person or online, you’ll cheer on peers at the Golden Post Awards (happening 3-4:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, May 3), meet at the Welcome Reception (7-9 p.m. PT Monday, May 1 for in-person attendees and 5-6 p.m. PT for online participants) and continue connecting in sessions and networking breaks throughout the event. Designated networking breaks are a perfect time to head to the Expo Area to meet with vendors, grab some coffee, hang out in the attendee lounge and more.

While our Virtual program is a great way to connect if you can’t travel, we can’t say enough about our in-person experience. In-person attendees meet at a fun-filled venue and have the option to take part in the Tuesday night Restaurant Romp or enjoy a complimentary shuttle ride to Lake Tahoe. VIP ticket holders get even more perks!

What are Workshops, All Access and VIP?

Take your learning & networking up a notch with these upgrade opportunities! While General Admission gets you access to all breakouts, speed sessions and keynotes, you can make GSMCON exactly what you need to succeed with add-on workshops, All Access sessions or the VIP ticket. What we hear year-after-year from previous attendees is that these extra sessions are a great way to get hands-on learning in smaller class sizes.

New this year, we’re introducing the GSMCON VIP Ticket! Born out of attendees wanting a way to be part of all that GSMCON has to offer, this ticket includes absolutely everything at GSMCON. Enjoy access to all add-ons including all pre-conference workshops and All Access sessions, a VIP-only networking dinner featuring some special guests, VIP charging station in the Expo Area, bonus swag and more.
