#GSMCON® is the conference built for government social media professionals.

Since 2015, socialgovs from around the world have come together at GSMCON to learn what’s next, talk about the challenges they’re facing and connect with people who understand the work.

GSMCON2027 takes place May 25–27, 2027, in Denver, Colorado, with optional pre-conference activities beginning Monday, May 24.

The in-person conference will be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Virtual registration is also available for attendees joining us online.

Our virtual experience brings GSMCON to government communicators around the world with live training, opportunities to connect and on-demand access so you can keep learning after the conference.

Yes! Recordings of eligible GSMCON sessions — including all keynotes and breakout sessions — will be available to registered attendees approximately 10 business days after the conference. Please note that special experiences, including Studio Live sessions, are not recorded.

Your registration includes 3 months of on-demand access, or you can extend your access to 6 months with the Extended On-Demand Add-On.

Speakers and sessions will be announced following our Call for Speakers this fall. For 2027, we’re taking an even more intentional approach to building a high-caliber program around the topics and conversations government communicators need most.

We’re taking a fresh approach to building the 2027 program, starting with what government communicators most want and need to learn. Stay tuned for details about topics, speaker requirements and how to submit your session idea.

We want GSMCON to be an accessible and welcoming experience for all attendees.

GSMCON2027 is headed back to Denver, Colorado!

The conference will be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Please visit our Venue Page for hotel, room block, parking and other venue details.

The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel is the official GSMCON2027 conference hotel.

A discounted GSMCON room block will be available at $229/night + 15.75% tax, with no resort fee. Hotel accommodations are not included with conference registration.

The main GSMCON2027 conference takes place Tuesday, May 25 through Thursday, May 27, with pre-conference workshops and the Welcome Reception happening Monday, May 24.

If you’re attending Monday activities, plan to arrive with enough time to get settled before your first event.

GSMCON concludes on Thursday, May 27. We recommend checking the final schedule before booking your return travel so you don’t miss any conference programming you want to attend.

The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel is approximately 26 miles from Denver International Airport (DEN).

The hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. Rideshare, taxi and public transportation are available, including rail service from Denver International Airport to downtown Denver. You can find more information on getting around Denver without a car at Visit Denver’s transportation guide. We recommend checking current transportation routes, schedules and fares as you plan your trip.

On-site parking is available at Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Self parking is available for a group rate of $15 daily.

In-person registration includes:

• Continental breakfast Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
• Lunch Tuesday and Wednesday

Coffee and other refreshments will also be available at select times throughout the conference.

You’ll have an opportunity to share dietary restrictions and needs with Team GSM as part of the attendee registration process.

Most GSMCON attendees dress anywhere from casual to business casual. Think jeans and a nice top, polos or button-downs, dresses or whatever makes you feel comfortable and professional.

Comfortable shoes are highly recommended. You’ll be moving between sessions, the Expo and other experiences throughout the day.

You may want to dress things up a little for receptions or evening activities, but it’s completely up to you.

A few things we recommend bringing:

• Comfortable shoes
• Layers or a light jacket — conference rooms can get chilly!
• Phone charger or portable battery
• Laptop, tablet or notebook for taking notes
• Business cards, if you use them
• Agency challenge coins, stickers, pins or swag to trade and share

And leave a little room in your bag. You never know what you’ll pick up along the way.

Not at all! Plenty of socialgovs come to GSMCON on their own.

We’re creating intentional opportunities throughout GSMCON2027 to make meeting people easier — whether that’s during organized networking, in the Expo, through the event app or simply while waiting for the next session to begin.

You may arrive solo, but you definitely won’t be the only one.

When you arrive, visit GSMCON Registration to check in and pick up your attendee badge.

Your badge is required to access GSMCON sessions, the Expo and conference events, so keep it with you throughout the conference.

Registration hours and check-in details will be shared closer to GSMCON.

A few things can make a big difference:

• Explore the schedule ahead of time and flag the sessions and experiences you don't want to miss
• Make time to explore the Expo and meet our exhibitors
• Introduce yourself to someone new
• Download the GSMCON app and start using it before you arrive
• Wear comfortable shoes
• Bring your favorite way to take notes
• Make room for the in-between moments — some of the best GSMCON conversations happen outside the session rooms

Absolutely.

GSMCON is intentionally designed as a hybrid experience so virtual attendees can do more than simply watch sessions from the sidelines.

You’ll be able to join livestreamed keynotes and breakouts, participate in live conversations and connect with fellow socialgovs through virtual networking opportunities.

And if you’ve heard about the GSMCON chat... yes, it tends to be on fire.

Registered virtual attendees will receive everything they need to access GSMCON2027 before the conference, including login instructions and technical information.

• Block your calendar so you can be fully present
• Use a reliable internet connection and updated browser
• Log in early and make sure everything is working
• Ask questions and join the conversation
